Home to the Happiest Campers

Read it from our Inbox

We have a little problem... our son has made it clear that he 'doesn't want to come home!'.  We are thrilled, and are not surprised. This letter we are holding would make quite a spectacular PR piece for camp!

My daughter is a Lower Teen this summer, and has been at Lavi her entire camp life. Her quote has been that  "this is the best summer ever" so thank you very much. The camp looks great, and she is very happy, so we really couldn't ask for more.

Nothing can beat the smile my son had when he jumped off the bus this afternoon to give us a hug. He has not stopped chatting about the most wonderful time of his life, the new friendships he has formed, the amazing trips, the games and the food! Thank you for giving him such a perfect first time sleep-a-way camp experience. I guess that this is the difference between a good camp and a FANTASTIC camp.

In years passed my daughter has come home from camp happy to have been there, yet happy to come home. This year - you returned to me a girl who cannot come to grips with the fact that camp had to end. She is more campsick than she's ever been homesick; she and her friends have burst into tears more than once since Wednesday (last day camp), and she refused to allow me to wash her camp blanket because it smells of camp!

For the entire first week at home our son was running to camp reunions.  He even got his counselor to drive a group of them from the city to see some bunkmates on Long Island. They all missed being with each other and in camp so much.
